Job summary

CHI Health Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant / CMA at the 132nd & Center Family Medicine Clinic in Omaha, NE. You will deliver compassionate, high-quality care, perform vital signs, document allergies and medications, and support the care team to improve patient outcomes.

Requirements include ABHES/CAAHEP-accredited MA program, national CMA/RMA/NCMA certification, BLS, and completion of Medication Aide training. The role offers onboarding support and opportunities for education assistance.

Qualifications

• Graduation from ABHES/CAAHEP-accredited medical assisting program.
• Current national certification in CMA, RMA, or NCMA.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs general patient care following clinic workflows.
• Greets and prepares patients, records vitals, allergies, medications, and visit reasons.
• Collects and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Prepares and provides medications and vaccines as ordered.
• Performs other duties within scope of role.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Medical Assistant / Certified Medical Assistant (MA/CMA) located at our 132nd & Center Family Medicine Clinic, you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery. Expectations

• Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows.
• Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider by obtaining and recording vital signs, reviewing drug allergies and current medications, completing applicable screening questionnaires and documenting reasons for visit.
• Collects and prepares ordered specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Prepares and provides ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients.
• Performs other duties within scope of role as assigned.

Job Requirements

Required:

• Graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP)
• Current/valid nationally recognized certification, registration or recognition for medical assistants (AAMA/CMA, RMA, NCMA)
• Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
