CommonSpirit Health seeks a Medical Assistant / Certified Medical Assistant (MA/CMA) to provide compassionate patient care within a collaborative inter-disciplinary team. You will perform vital signs, screening, specimen collection, and assist with medication and vaccine administration.

Eligibility includes ABHES/CAAHEP accreditation and BLS. A $4,800 sign-on bonus is offered to new hires meeting requirements; multiple titles may apply with varying pay scales.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ABHES- or CAAHEP-accredited Medical Assisting program.
• Completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or holds current/valid status.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association.

Responsabilités

• Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows.
• Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider by obtaining and recording vital signs, reviewing drug allergies and current medications, completing applicable screening questionnaires and documenting reasons for visit.
• Collects and prepares ordered specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Prepares and provides ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients.
• Performs other duties within scope of role as assigned.

Job Requirements

Required

• Graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP)
• Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
