Job summary

CHI Health Clinic in Nebraska is seeking a Medical Assistant / CMA to deliver compassionate, high-quality care. You will support clinicians with patient assessments, vital signs, medication administration, and specimen collection in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ABHES- or CAAHEP-accredited medical assisting program.
• Current CMA, RMA, or NCMA certification or recognition.
• Medication Aide 40-hour course completed or valid.
• BLS from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Performs general patient care following clinic workflows.
• Greets and prepares patients, records vital signs, allergies, medications, screening questionnaires, and visit reasons.
• Collects and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Prepares and provides ordered medications and/or vaccines.
• Performs other duties within scope as assigned.

Expectations:

• Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows.
• Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider by obtaining and recording vital signs, reviewing drug allergies and current medications, completing applicable screening questionnaires and documenting reasons for visit.
• Collects and prepares ordered specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Prepares and provides ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients.
• Performs other duties within scope of role as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP)
• Current/valid nationally recognized certification, registration or recognition for medical assistants (AAMA/CMA, RMA, NCMA)
• Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association

Pay Range
