Job summary

CHI Health Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant / Certified Medical Assistant (MA/CMA) to deliver compassionate, high-quality care that supports patients' well-being and recovery. You will perform essential clinical tasks and work within an interdisciplinary team to promote optimal outcomes.

Ideal candidates have ABHES/CAAHEP-accredited training, BLS certification, and a 40-hour Medication Aide course or current certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ABHES- or CAAHEP-accredited medical assisting program.
• Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid certification.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows.
• Greets and prepares patients by recording vital signs, reviewing medications and allergies, and documenting visit reasons.
• Collects and prepares ordered specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Prepares and provides ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients.
• Performs other duties within scope of role as assigned.

• Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider by obtaining and recording vital signs, reviewing drug allergies and current medications, completing applicable screening questionnaires and documenting reasons for visit.
• Collects and prepares ordered specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Prepares and provides ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients.
• Performs other duties within scope of role as assigned.

*Job Requirements**Minimum Qualifications:*

• Graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP)
• Successfully completed Medication Aide 40‑hour course or current/valid
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
