Job summary

CommonSpirit Health’s Valley View Family Clinic seeks a Medical Assistant/Certified Medical Assistant (MA/CMA) to deliver compassionate, high-quality care in a fast-paced family clinic setting. You will collaborate in an interdisciplinary team to support patient well-being and recovery, utilizing strong assessment skills and patient-first focus.

The role requires ABHES/CAAHEP accredited MA education, completion of the medication aide course, and BLS certification, with a focus on accurate vital

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Assisting program accredited by ABHES or CAAHEP
• Successful completion of Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows.
• Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider by obtaining and recording vital signs, reviewing drug allergies and current medications, completing applicable screening questionnaires and documenting reasons for visit.
• Collects and prepares ordered specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Prepares and provides ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients.
• Performs other duties within scope of role as assigned.

Expectations

Job Requirements

Required:

• Graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP)
• Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
