Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Staff Assistant I to support outpatient front office operations. You will interact with patients by phone or in person under supervision, providing compassionate service and maintaining a patient-centered attitude.

This role offers a career ladder based on responsibilities and performance. The position requires a High School Diploma or GED with prior customer service experience and CSA competencies within 6–12 months.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED with prior customer service experience required.
• Licenses and Certifications: CSA competencies in two clinical front office operations within 6-12 months of hire.
• Preferred: Degree in related field and/or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Learn and demonstrate proficiency in registration and scheduling.
• Handle inbound calls and documentation.
• Assist with insurance entry and verification and referrals management.
• Cash handling, check-in/check-out, and patient accounting duties.
• Maintain HIPAA privacy and有效 patient confidentiality.
• Deliver superior customer service and build rapport with patients and team.
