MercyOne Health System is seeking a Clinic Receptionist for a full-time Day Shift. The role greets patients and visitors, manages front desk operations, verifies insurance, and enters demographics into the EHR and related systems.

Strong communication and confidentiality are essential as you support patient flow and billing at the clinic. The position involves scheduling appointments, handling copays, and ensuring a smooth check-in process while upholding MercyOne’s mission and values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three months of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training within three months of hire.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English; communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes patients and visitors.
• Performs patient check-in and admits efficiently and in compliance with policies.
• Answer phone calls and direct them appropriately; schedule appointments.
• Obtain accurate patient/insurance information and collect copays/deductibles.
• Enter demographics and insurance data into the EHR and other systems; copy/scan documents.
