Job summary

Trane Technologies invites students to join a 12‑week Summer internship program in Technical Sales. You will work with Sales Account Managers, learn design and sale of HVAC systems, and gain hands‑on experience through meetings, calls, and field visits.

Eligible students must be enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree (IT/Engineering preferred), complete sophomore year, and be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Travel is limited and safety standards apply.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree for the entire internship.
• Preferred fields: IT, Information Systems, Engineering Technology, or Engineering.
• Must have completed at least sophomore year before the start of the internship.
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Valid driver’s license for 12+ months and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with Sales Account Managers and customers.
• Understand design, application and sale of systems, controls, parts, and services for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings.
• Attend sales meetings, business functions, sales and service calls, and customer meetings with experienced account managers and mentors.
• Understand the steps sales engineers take and be hands‑on in those steps during the internship.
• Build a strong relationship with customers as a daily point of contact in solution making.
