Job summary

Trane Technologies offers a 12-week Summer internship in Technical Sales to develop your engineering and sales skills through hands-on experience with customers and projects.

You will work with Sales Account Managers, learn how systems and controls are designed and sold, and attend meetings to gain practical insight. The program may lead to the Graduate Training Program after graduation.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering throughout the internship.
• Sophomore/2nd year completed before start of internship.
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Passion for continuous learning in technical fields and engineering solutions.
• Posting is for multiple opportunities across North America.
• Some positions may be remote or hybrid/on-site at facilities.
• Valid driver’s license for 12+ months and insurance proof.
• Travel: Less than 15% in defined geography.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with Sales Account Managers and customers.
• Understand design, application and sale of systems, controls, parts, and services for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings.
• Attend sales meetings, business functions, sales and service calls, customer meetings with experienced account managers and mentors.
• Understand steps sales engineers take from start to finish and be hands-on in those steps during the internship.
• Build relationships with customers as a daily point-of-contact in solution-making.
