Job summary

Bowman Williams is seeking a Client Technology Advisor in the Baltimore/Washington, DC market for a hybrid role. You will own the technical knowledge and documentation for about 15 MSP clients, perform discovery, assess environments, and help shape their technology roadmap with the vCIO and engineering teams.

This role is designed for someone who has grown through MSP ranks and wants to move toward a consultative, client-facing position while staying technically hands-on.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Systems Administrator / Tier 2+ MSP engineer or similar role.
• Experience across Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint & Teams, Windows Server.
• Networking experience including firewalls, VPNs, wireless, switching.
• Experience with hybrid cloud/on-prem environments and documenting environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical knowledge and documentation for approximately 15 MSP clients
• Perform technical discovery and assessments of client environments
• Identify infrastructure, security, cloud, and lifecycle gaps
• Work alongside vCIOs to help develop client technology roadmaps
• Serve as the internal SME when engineering, projects, NOC, SOC, or support teams need deeper knowledge of a client
• Participate in client meetings and provide technical recommendations
• Help standardize client environments and improve documentation
• Coordinate with project, escalation, security, and procurement teams
• Remain technical and jump hands-on when needed
• Support client onboarding and lifecycle initiatives
