Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma with post-secondary coursework in social work, human services, gerontology, or related field.
• Relevant work experience in public administrative support is preferred.
• Equivalency can be considered with training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Screens clients for benefits and services;
• Interviews clients and explains programs, policies, and procedures;
• Assists clients with applications;
• Evaluates and approves agency providers;
• Researches information and maintains client logs;
• Schedules and coordinates appointments for clients with staff;
• Contacts clients for information and responds to routine questions;
• Acts as initial point of contact for applicants and provides program information;
• Generates simple reports and cross-checks information for eligibility.
