Job summary

S&ME Inc. is seeking a Client Developer to lead business development and support environmental, geotechnical, and construction materials testing teams from our Charleston, South Carolina office.

The role partners with PM, Communications, and Marketing to build new client connections and strengthen existing partnerships. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, marketing, construction, business or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of technical and/or business development experience within Commercial Real Estate, Architecture, Construction, and Engineering industries.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Existing relationships with A/E/C industry Designers, Contractors, and Owners.
• Ability to increase sales opportunities for S&ME Inc., achieve a sales target, and grow the Charleston office.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Collaboration: create and execute initiatives to drive performance and support office revenue objectives.
• Client & Market Development: cultivate current client partnerships, identify new opportunities, and increase brand presence.
• Marketing Support: coordinate local marketing activities, sponsorships, events, and social media for community engagement.
• Proposal Assistance: support development and submission of proposals and SOQs/RFQs to win projects.
• Coaching & Team Development: lead BD discussions and mentor project managers and staff to strengthen client engagement.
