S&ME in Charlotte, NC is seeking a full-time Construction Materials Project Manager to lead field operations, testing, and consulting across soils, concrete, asphalt, and masonry projects. This role focuses on delivering high-quality testing, reporting, and client service while mentoring junior staff.

You will manage testing programs, develop reports, and coordinate with senior professionals to ensure safety, quality, and timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or a similar technical field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in project management of construction materials testing/inspections of soil, concrete, masonry, and/or asphalt.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to lead teams with varying responsibilities and tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead field investigations & site assessments, coordinate subsurface exploration and laboratory testing programs.
• Perform construction monitoring and inspections, maintain accurate documentation of site conditions.
• Conduct engineering analyses and review laboratory results for data quality.
• Develop detailed technical reports and daily field summaries, contribute to proposals and scopes.
• Support client communication and business development efforts within the office.
