Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Desktop & Education Support Specialist to provide professional computer support for OTDI customers across Windows and Mac OS. You will install and configure workstations, peripherals, and classroom AV equipment, and deliver on-site and remote assistance.

In this role you will train users, document inventory, and help maintain classroom technology. Expect occasional evenings or weekends and possible travel to OSU campuses.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 2 years of desktop support in a networked environment.
• Experience with Windows and Mac OS; familiarity with AV equipment.
• Ability to work in a team and independently; strong organizational skills.
• Experience with inventory management and documenting IT assets.
• Customer service experience in a university IT setting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Delivery and setup of new and updated workstations and peripherals.
• Deployment of classroom maintenance plans and on-site repair.
• Provide on-site and remote support for Windows and Mac environments.
• Train users on instructional and computing equipment.
• Travel to OSU campuses for training/knowledge transfer sessions as needed.
