Job summary

Ohio University is seeking a Student Technical Support Assistant to provide classroom technology support and respond to faculty, staff, and student needs. You’ll troubleshoot hardware and software issues and assist users with Wi‑Fi and other resources, under supervision.

The role also covers event space setup/teardown and general office tasks at the Health Sciences Professions, Dean's Office, with a flexible part-time schedule (12–25 hours/week) and pay of $15/hour.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in post-secondary education or secondary school with a minimum 2.5 GPA (preferred 2.75 GPA).
• Knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and basic troubleshooting is required; familiarity with Mac OSX, iOS, Android, Zoom, and Teams is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom technology support including projectors, PCs, and smart boards.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and escalate as needed.
• Assist users with Wi-Fi and other technology resource connections.
• Perform technical support for faculty, staff, students, and guests.
• Conduct event space setup and tear down for conference rooms and classrooms.
• Offer general office support such as answering phones, greeting visitors, filing, and front desk coverage.
