Class A CDL OTR High Mile Drivers

Climate Express has been moving full truckloads of freight across the United States for 29 years. We operate with 200 company drivers who keep families across America supplied with essential household goods. Our fleet features safe Volvo tractors equipped with modern amenities, offering high miles, consistent paychecks, and solid home time. We are a team, strong and committed to getting things done.

Equipment

- 2022 or newer Volvo 760, automatic trucks. Volvo is the safest on the road, optimized with ergonomic seats, perfect steering, 70" L / 96" W sleepers, pull-out tabletop, large built-in refrigerators, auxiliary power units with 3500W inverter, dual antennas, flat screen TV mount, satellite radios. Features include right way scales on trucks and trailers, Elite Pass for scales, tolls, and bridges. On-site repair facility and wash bay available.

Pay

- Starting pay ranges from .55cpm to .58cpm, paid on practical miles whether loaded or empty. Additional pays for detention, layover, and other circumstances are determined per load and hours. Average weekly pay is between $2,600 and $3,200, paid weekly via direct deposit. Work this week, get paid next—no hold.

Home Time

- Drivers typically get 2 full days off after working 12-14 days within our operating area. Some areas may offer additional drive-through days. Outlying area drivers may stay out longer with up to 4 days off, with prior written agreement on home time. We accommodate special events and appointments when notified.

Loads & Routes

- 98% freight originates in Missouri. Over 55% is drop and hook; the rest involves 1 pick-1 drop loads. Mainly dry van and reefer trailers, with no loads from slaughterhouses or fresh meat. Most routes are in the US middle corridor, avoiding NYC, ports, borders, and west of Denver. Freight is mostly contracted, utilizing major highways and Pilot/Flying J fueling points. No dedicated routes.

Rider & Canine Policies

- Rider policy allows 1 passenger aged 12 or older, available from day 1. Canine policy permits 2 small or 1 large dog with a $500 fee, deducted at $100/week until paid, non-refundable once the pet is on board. No policy for cats, reptiles, or birds.
