Class A CDL OTR High Mile Drivers

Climate Express has been transporting full truckloads of freight across the United States for 29 years. Our team of 200 company drivers keeps families supplied with essential household goods. We operate safe Volvo tractors equipped with modern features, ensuring high miles, consistent paychecks, and solid home time.

Equipment

• 2022 or newer Volvo 760, automatic trucks
• Ergonomically designed seats and optimized steering
• 70" L / 96" W sleepers
• Pull-out tabletop and larger built-in refrigerators
• Auxiliary power units with built-in manual power inverter (3500W)
• Dual antennas, flat screen TV mount, satellite radios
• Right way scales on trucks and trailers, Elite Pass for scales, tolls, and bridges
• On-site repair facility and wash bay

Pay

Starting pay: $0.55 - $0.58 per mile, paid on practical miles whether loaded or empty. Additional pay for detention, layover, and other factors. Average weekly pay: $2,600 - $3,200. Paid weekly via direct deposit. No hold on pay.

Home Time

Drivers get 2 full days off after working 12-14 days in our running area. Some areas may allow longer periods out with up to 4 days off. Home time is communicated and honored in writing before hiring. Special requests for time off are accommodated when possible.

Loads & Routes

98% of freight originates in Missouri. Over 55% is drop and hook; the rest is 1 pick-1 drop. Dry van and reefer (climate-controlled) loads, mainly in the US middle corridor. No NY City, no force dispatch west of Denver, no ports or borders. Most freight is on major highways, with a mix of contracted dry van and reefer loads. No dedicated routes. Fueling at Pilot/Flying J stations.

Rider & Canine Policies

Riders: 1 passenger, 12 years or older, available from day 1.

Pets: $500 fee per pet, up to 2 small or 1 large dog, with $100 weekly deduction until paid. No policy for cats, reptiles, or birds.
