Overview

Climate Express has been transporting full truckloads of freight across the United States for 29 years. Our team of 200 company drivers keeps American families supplied with essential household goods using safe Volvo tractors equipped with modern amenities. We offer high miles, consistent paychecks, and reliable home time. Join a strong team committed to getting things done.

Equipment

2022 or newer Volvo 760 trucks with automatic transmission. Features include ergonomic seats, optimal steering, 70" L / 96" W sleepers, pull-out tabletop, large built-in refrigerator, auxiliary power units with 3500W inverter, dual antennas, flat screen TV mount, satellite radios, and right-way scales on trucks and trailers. Maintenance is supported by an on-site repair facility and wash bays.

Pay

Starting pay ranges from .55 to .58 cents per mile, paid on practical miles whether loaded or empty. Additional pay for detention, layover, and other factors varies by load and hours. Average weekly earnings are between $2,600 and $3,200, paid weekly via direct deposit. There are no holds on pay.

Home Time

Drivers typically get 2 full days off after working 12-14 days within our operating area. Some drivers may stay out longer and receive up to 4 days off. Home time is agreed upon in advance and can accommodate special events and appointments. While drivers do not accrue days off weekly, we strive to meet individual needs.

Loads & Routes

Most freight (98%) originates in Missouri, with over half being drop-and-hook. The rest involves 1 pick-1 drop loads, mainly dry van or reefer (climate-controlled). Routes mostly cover the US middle corridor, avoiding New York City, ports, borders, and west of Denver, CO. Freight is primarily contracted, with no dedicated routes, and includes major highway transportation with Pilot/Flying J fueling points.

Policies

• Rider policy: 1 passenger aged 12 or older, available from day 1.
• Canine policy: $500 fee per pet, with up to 2 small or 1 large dog. Deduction of $100 weekly until paid off. No policy for cats, reptiles, or birds.
