Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking a detail-oriented Claims Support Specialist to partner with claim professionals and assist customers. Under moderate supervision, you will manage routine financial transactions, document claim files, and help with data and information management across the claims team.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED or a Bachelor's degree, along with solid computer skills, strong communication, and a proactive approach to problem solving.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of service-related work experience OR Bachelor’s Degree.
• Strong computer and data handling skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a customer service representative for the claim department; address questions and triage calls.
• Support claims operations by documenting files, requesting reports, reviewing medical bills, and processing mail.
• Handle claim payments and vendor expenses; ensure timeliness and accuracy of checks.
• Maintain accurate records and generate business reports using standard tools.
• Assist with financial controls and data analyses; ensure data integrity and standard practices.
• May lift items up to 20 pounds; perform other duties as assigned.
