Job summary

ORION is seeking a Civil Project Manager to oversee multiple projects, ensuring safety, cost control, and timely delivery in alignment with design, budget, and schedule. The role requires close coordination with the Superintendent and Project Engineer across labor, equipment, subcontractors, and suppliers.

The position emphasizes building strong relationships with the project team, general contractors, and vendors, while upholding the company values of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Teamwork

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Business, Soil Sciences, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Five or more years of relevant field experience in heavy civil construction.
• Strong knowledge of project management, scheduling, and estimating.

Responsibilities

• Ensure project safety while meeting budget, schedule, quality standards, and design specs.
• Create and maintain project schedule; monitor critical path dates and milestones.
• Coordinate with Project Superintendent, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and material suppliers.
• Prepare Subcontracts and Purchase Orders with appropriate oversight.
• Manage change orders and RFPs; maintain project documentation.
• Provide job progress reports; assist with project closeout data for estimating.
• Assist the estimating department as needed.
• Train and mentor project engineers.
