Job summary

ORION is seeking an experienced civil construction supervisor to execute field activities on assigned projects. You will lead field crews, coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong leadership, the ability to interpret drawings, and effective communication with project engineers and safety personnel. Travel to job sites will be required as needed.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of civil construction experience with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
• Degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Understanding of project scheduling and resource allocation.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and site safety best practices.
• Basic computer skills (email, Excel, CM software).
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and solve problems independently.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all construction work complies with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Coordinate daily activities of field crews, subcontractors, and vendors to meet schedules.
• Monitor and report project progress, productivity, and compliance with specs.
• Read and interpret civil drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Verify materials and work meet contract documents.
• Track and manage equipment, manpower, and material needs.
• Assist in developing look-ahead schedules and daily work plans.
• Provide leadership and clear direction to field personnel.
• Collaborate with project engineers, foremen, quality control, and safety personnel.
• Identify and resolve field conflicts or constructability issues with minimal disruption.
• Maintain accurate site records: daily reports, timesheets, logs.
• Enforce company policies and safety requirements.
