Job summary

Orion is seeking a Project Manager to plan, direct, and coordinate designated projects, ensuring timely goals and budget compliance while upholding Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Teamwork with Integrity.

You will support project managers, coordinate with subcontractors, review drawings, manage logs, track costs, and provide regular management reports. A BS in a relevant field and leadership ability are required.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Management. Field/work experience in commercial concrete construction is preferred.
• Excellent communication and ability to interact effectively with others.
• Ability to work in high-stress situations and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pre-job meetings including plans, budgets, scheduling, and targets.
• Assist Project Manager in managing all assigned jobs.
• Review shop drawings and submittals for accuracy against drawings and specs.
• Distribute drawing revisions to PMs, Superintendents, and subcontractors; request new shop drawings as needed.
• Update drawing logs and cost records with revisions; maintain logs.
• Keep project schedules updated and document delays.
• Order materials and ensure timely delivery.
• Visit sites to identify problems and help reach solutions.
• Track man-hours and job costs weekly.
• Prepare end-of-month financial reports and management updates.
• Coordinate activities with government/regulatory agencies.
