Job summary

Luster is seeking Office Engineers to support large heavy civil infrastructure programs across highways, bridges, transit, aviation, and water projects. You will handle documentation, submittals, RFIs, and cost-tracking while coordinating with contractors, design teams, and client representatives.

This role emphasizes project controls, change orders, scheduling, and compliance with safety and agency standards, with opportunities for advancement and professional development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, architecture, or related field, or equivalent mix of education/experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience providing office engineering, contract administration, or document control on large heavy-civil projects (> $500M).
  • Familiarity with estimates, reviews, approvals, and compliance in construction.
  • Experience with contract docs, technical specs, and drawings.
  • Experience with electronic document management and collaboration platforms (Procore, e-Builder, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam, SharePoint).
  • Experience with PM software (Primavera P6, MS Project, Unifier, Kahua).
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Track and manage submittals, RFIs, minutes, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate with contractors, designers, and client representatives for timely responses and document flow.
  • Review and process change orders, track cost impacts, and maintain logs.
  • Monitor construction schedules and integrate updates with project records and reporting tools.
  • Maintain and organize project files, drawing sets, and document control systems.
  • Prepare status reports and log summaries for meetings and updates.
  • Assist in pay applications, invoice packages, and procurement documentation.
  • Participate in site visits, progress meetings, and coordination sessions.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, safety protocols, and agency standards.
  • Maintain project office and provide administrative support.
