Job summary

Bolton & Menk is seeking Civil Engineering students for the 2026 summer season with an opportunity in the Structural service group for the 2027 Summer season. The role involves assisting with civil engineering projects, planning, and design, and supporting construction observation and reporting.

Selected candidates are pursuing a Civil Engineering degree, with a 2.8 GPA minimum (3.2+ desired). Sophomores or higher with surveying and AutoCAD coursework are preferred, and valid driving is required

Qualifications

Selected candidates will be enrolled in a Civil Engineering degree program from an accredited post-secondary institution.
Minimum GPA of 2.8; Desired GPA 3.2 or above.
Sophomore or above with completed coursework in surveying and AutoCAD drafting.
May be required to work outdoors and navigate rugged terrain for construction observation duties.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and have transportation or access to public transit.

Responsibilities

Assist on civil engineering projects with tasks involving civil engineering, planning and design.
Assist with preparation of reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
Assist with construction observation, staking, and construction administration duties.
Occasionally work on other reports, design calculations, writing specifications, and reviewing shop drawings.
