Job summary

Bolton & Menk, Inc. invites engineering students to join our 2027 summer internship in the Transportation service group. You will assist with roadway design, traffic counting and plan production, gaining hands-on experience on real projects.

The role also offers office work on plan reviews, quantity calculations and cost estimates, plus potential site visits for construction observation. Relocation is not included.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Civil Engineering degree program at an accredited school.
• Minimum GPA 2.8; preferred 3.2 or higher.
• Sophomore or higher with surveying and AutoCAD coursework.
• Valid driver's license and transportation; willingness to travel.
• Ability to work outdoors and perform site observations.

Responsibilities

• Assist civil engineering projects with design, planning and civil tasks.
• Assist in preparing reports, plans, specifications and cost estimates.
• Assist construction observation, staking, and administration duties.
• May work on reports, design calculations, specs, and shop drawings.
