Job summary

Tighe & Bond, Inc. invites you to join our Site Civil Design Team as a Civil Engineering Intern in Shelton, CT or Middletown, CT. You will help deliver infrastructure projects across the Northeast, tackling engineering challenges with experienced professionals in a hybrid, collaborative environment.

You will perform CAD tasks, assist on projects, and gain exposure to permitting, design development, and field assignments while developing professionally in a values-driven engineering firm.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s program pursuing a degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Previous and relevant work experience
• Intellectual curiosity and a desire to solve engineering problems
• Flexibility, a positive attitude, and open-mindedness

Responsibilities

• Research, compile, and examine project-related data
• Assist staff with various projects and/or field assignments
• Perform CAD tasks and create basic plans in AutoCAD
• Perform engineering calculations under supervision
• Prepare written communications (emails, memoranda, field reports, specifications)
