Tighe & Bond is seeking a Transportation Engineering Intern to join our Transportation Business Line in Shelton, CT or Middletown, CT. You’ll work on infrastructure projects across the Northeast, collaborating with DOTs, municipalities, and private clients to design safe, sustainable facilities.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s program pursuing Civil Engineering or related field.
• Coursework or experience related to roadway design, traffic studies, or related coursework.
• Strong interest in transportation engineering, roadway design, or traffic analysis.
• Effective communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist in roadway and intersection design, including traffic control and signage.
• Prepare construction documents, technical specs, and cost estimates.
• Participate in field visits and construction observations.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation to support plan development.
