Job summary

Tighe & Bond is seeking a Site Civil Project Engineer 2 to join our Land Use team in Middletown or Shelton, CT. You’ll lead civil/site development tasks for public and private infrastructure projects, delivering designs and reports with a focus on sustainability and resiliency in the Northeast.

Qualifications include a Civil Engineering degree, PE licensure within one year, and 8–10 years of relevant experience in land development and infrastructure design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 8–10 years of experience in civil/site design, land development, or infrastructure design.
• PE license in Massachusetts or ability to obtain within one year.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and HydroCAD.
• Strong understanding of land development regulations and municipal engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute engineering design tasks for civil/site development projects.
• Prepare detailed technical specifications, cost estimates, and project reports.
• Conduct construction observation and contractor supervision.
• Perform stormwater analysis, hydrologic modeling, and site grading using engineering design software.
• Participate in client meetings and provide technical guidance to stakeholders.
• Review shop drawings and technical documentation for compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and support a collaborative work environment.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
