Tighe & Bond in Shelton, CT (or Middletown) invites you to join our Site Civil Design Team as a Civil Engineering Intern. You’ll contribute to delivering infrastructure projects across the Northeast, leveraging CAD tools and collaborating with senior engineers in a hybrid environment.

Currently enrolled in an Associate or Bachelor in Civil or Environmental Engineering, you’ll gain hands-on experience, perform CAD tasks, assist with calculations, and prepare documents under supervision.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s program pursuing a degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Previous and relevant work experience
• Intellectual curiosity and a desire to solve engineering problems
• Flexibility, a positive attitude, and open-mindedness

Responsibilities

• Research, compile, and examine a wide variety of project-related data
• Assist staff with various projects and/or field assignments
• Perform computer-aided drafting tasks and create basic plans in AutoCAD
• Perform engineering calculations under the direction of an engineer
• Prepare written communications including emails, memorandum, field reports, and specifications
