Job summary

Bohler’s Boca Raton office seeks a motivated Civil Engineering Intern (Land Development) for Spring 2027. You’ll gain hands-on experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D on real site-design projects, under the mentorship of seasoned engineers and project managers.

You will learn the full land development process from concept to construction, contribute to concept plans, grading, and utility layouts, and develop practical skills in permitting, coordination with jurisdictions, and field observations.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems Engineering, or a related field.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Curiosity and motivation to learn in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Experience the day-to-day operations of a civil engineering and site design firm
• Learn the stages of the land development and site design process
• Enhance your technical skills with hands-on experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D to design: Concept plans, Grading plans, Stormwater management plans, Utility system plans, Soil erosion & sediment control plans
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to drive projects forward
• Research zoning ordinances and coordinate with local jurisdictions
• Visit sites to observe field conditions and see the engineering process in action
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to design and process improvements
