Job summary

Bohler in Wilmington, DE invites rising Civil Engineers to join as a Summer 2027 Civil Engineering Intern (Land Development). You will gain hands-on experience in site design from concept to construction, working with engineers, designers and project managers on real client projects.

You'll use AutoCAD Civil 3D to support concept, grading, stormwater, and utility plans while learning zoning coordination and field observation in a collaborative, mentorship‑driven environment offering growth

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems Engineering, or a related field.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D (preferred; training provided if not yet proficient).
• Curiosity and motivation to learn within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Interest in civil site design, land development, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience in site design and land development.
• Learn stages of the land development and site design process.
• Design concept plans, grading plans, stormwater, utility, and erosion control plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to drive projects forward.
• Research zoning ordinances and coordinate with local jurisdictions.
• Visit sites to observe field conditions and the engineering process.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improvements.
