Job summary

Kleinschmidt Associates is seeking an Entry-Mid level Civil Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team working on dam removals, embankment dam repairs, fish passage, renewable energy projects, and stream restorations.

The role offers a hybrid work environment with 2-3 days in the office and occasional travel. Requires a BS in Civil Engineering, EIT, and AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency. Salary ranges from $68,000 to $125,000 per year depending on experience.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Erosion & sediment control and stormwater management design experience.
• Prior exposure to engineering design/construction support tasks.
• Engineer in Training (EIT).

Responsibilities

• Work directly with senior staff on all stages of project delivery from conceptual designs to issued for bid construction drawings.
• Collaborate with scientists, data analysts, engineers, and licensing experts to develop innovative solutions for renewable energy projects.
• Gain specialized expertise related to civil site design, hydraulic fish passage, slope and embankment protection, and stream channel design for dam decommissioning and fish passage work.
• Perform site visits, field data collection, engineering calculations, CAD design, GIS analysis, and technical writing.
