Job summary

Kleinschmidt is seeking an Entry-Mid level Civil Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team for dam removals, embankment repairs, fish passage facilities, recreation facilities, renewable energy projects, and stream restorations.

The role offers a hybrid work environment with 2-3 days in the office across multiple U.S. locations. Salary ranges from $68,000 to $125,000 per year based on experience.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field required.
• Erosion & sediment control and stormwater design experience.
• Proven exposure to engineering design/construction support tasks.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.

Responsibilities

• Work with senior staff on all stages of project delivery from conceptual designs to issued for bid construction drawings.
• Collaborate with scientists, data analysts, and licensing experts to develop innovative solutions.
• Engage in site visits, field data collection, calculations, and CAD design.
• Contribute to hydraulic and stream channel design for dam decommissioning, fish passage, and embankment protection.
