Job summary

Kleinschmidt is seeking an Entry-to-Mid level Civil Engineer to support dam removals, embankment repairs, fish passage facilities, and stream restorations. Hybrid work options are available with 2–3 days in the office across several U.S. locations.

The role involves collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team and requires a BS in Civil Engineering, EIT, and AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency. Travel and a US work permit are needed.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Erosion & sediment control and stormwater management design experience.
• Prior exposure to engineering design/construction support tasks.
• Engineer in Training (EIT).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior staff on all stages of project delivery from conceptual designs to issued-for-bid construction drawings.
• Work with scientists, data analysts, engineers and licensing experts to develop innovative solutions for renewables.
• Develop expertise in civil site design, hydraulic fish passage, slope/embankment protection, and stream channel design for dam decommissioning and fish passage projects.
