Kleinschmidt is seeking an Entry-Mid level Civil Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team for dam removals, embankment repairs, fish passage facilities, and renewable energy projects. The role spans concept through bid construction with field work and collaboration across scientists, engineers, and regulatory experts.

Hybrid work is available with 2-3 days in the office; travel may be required. Competitive salary and benefits support professional growth and ownership culture.

Qualifications

• Must have a BS in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Erosion & sediment control and stormwater management design experience.
• Prior exposure to engineering design/construction support tasks.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) is required or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with senior staff on all stages of project delivery from concept to issued for bid construction drawings.
• Collaborate with scientists, data analysts, engineers, and licensing experts to develop solutions for renewable energy projects.
• Gain expertise in civil site design, hydraulic fish passage, and stream channel design for dam decommissioning and fish passage.
