Job summary

Kleinschmidt is hiring an Entry-Mid level Civil Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team delivering dam removals, embankment repairs, fish passage facilities, and stream restorations across the USA. The role combines office design with field support, requiring 2-3 days in the office and travel as needed.

You will work with senior staff from conceptual designs through issued for bid drawings, gaining exposure to hydraulic modeling, CAD design, and environmental considerations on renewable

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field
• Erosion & sediment control and stormwater management design experience
• Prior exposure to engineering design/construction support tasks
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Engineer in Training (EIT)

Responsibilities

• Work directly with senior staff on all stages of project delivery from conceptual designs to issued for bid construction drawings
• Collaborate with scientists, data analysts, engineers, and licensing experts to develop solutions for renewable energy projects
• Site visits, field data collection, engineering calculations and analysis, design using CAD programs, GIS data processing
• Review hydraulic modeling results and prepare technical reports and presentations
