Job summary

The New York City Civic Engagement Commission is seeking a Programs Project Manager to oversee the People’s Money process, TRIE initiative, and VLA. The role focuses on building systems, managing deadlines, and collaborating across program areas to strengthen civic engagement initiatives in Brooklyn and beyond.

Under the Chief Programs Officer, you will develop project plans, train staff on PM tools like Airtable, and support program implementation from planning to reporting.

Qualifications

• A baccalaureate degree with two years in community work or related activities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate timelines and priorities with the Chief Program Officer.
• Use PM tools to advance TRIE program goals across the Commission.
• Lead and support project management; follow up on action items.
• Identify collaboration opportunities to widen engagement across CEC programs.
• Liaise with Program Directors to develop annual project plans.
• Collaborate to strategize best practices for project management.
• Provide training on Airtable and related PM tools.
• Facilitate PB phases—borough assembly, voting, and implementation.
• Support PB Advisory Committee’s administrative needs.
• Recommend process improvements to the Chief Program Officer.
• Flag potential impacts of decisions on project scope.
• Provide data analytics and visualization assets for reports.
• Support sortition process from selection to onboarding.
• Provide staff support for high-priority CPO projects.
