Job summary

The City of New York’s Civic Engagement Commission is seeking a Community Coordinator to support citywide participatory budgeting and language access initiatives. The role collaborates with program leads, coordinates timelines, and helps manage data reporting to inform decisions.

Working under the Chief Programs Officer, you will assist with project management, stakeholder coordination, and staff training on Airtable and other tools, helping to advance engagement across communities and city

Qualifications

• A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or related duties; or
• High school graduation and six years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Support project management across all phases of participatory budgeting and related initiatives.
• Coordinate timelines, deliverables, and collaboration among program leads and staff.
• Provide training and support for project management tools (e.g., Airtable) used by the team.
• Assist with program reporting, data analytics, and presentation of findings for stakeholders.
• Support advisory committees and community outreach to increase program impact.

Education

Baccalaureate degree or equivalent

High school diploma with six years of experience relevant to duties
