Job summary

Chicago Public Schools is seeking a Citywide Assessment Team Case Manager to oversee the evaluation process for eligible students in Chicago. The role involves coordinating consent, assessments, IEP/504 development, and related services for non-attending students while ensuring compliance with IDEA and state laws.

The position emphasizes collaboration with CAT Administrators, schools, and families, maintaining timely documentation and data-driven planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, counseling, or related field is required.
• ISBE-licensed PEL with appropriate endorsement is required.
• LBS1 and/or General Administrative endorsement is required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates all special education team meetings per timelines.
• Completes IEP and 504 documentation in a timely manner.
• Develops annual goals and benchmarks addressing student needs.
• Coordinates assessments and eligibility determinations.
• Communicates referrals and decisions to families and schools.
• Maintains compliant records in state systems.
