Job summary

Chicago Public Schools is seeking a Citywide Assessment Team Manager to lead the Citywide Assessment Teams, oversee evaluation referrals, and ensure compliance with IDEA and district policies. The role reports to the Director of Citywide Assessment & Assignment and involves coordinating with CPS partners and overseeing multiple teams.

The position requires a Master’s degree, a valid ISBE teaching certificate, REACH certification within 4 months, and at least five years in a related educational

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited university is required
• Valid teaching certificate/PEL issued by ISBE is required
• REACH certification or completion within 4 months of hire is required
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a school or educational setting as a Related Service Provider/Case Manager or SE teacher
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience providing training to parents, advocates and staff

Responsibilities

• Supervise, develop, and manage the performance of the Citywide Assessment Teams, including hiring, staffing, scheduling, training, and evaluations
• Ensure timely completion of evaluation referrals and adherence to timelines and policies
• Coordinate liaison duties between CPS partners, multi-site operations, and logistics for assessment days and related activities
• Oversee ASPEN registrations, document scanning, and referral creation in SSM
• Supervise day-to-day Child Find screening team operations and assignment rotation to ensure efficiency
• Advise and train stakeholders on evaluation process per IDEA
• Support review and finalization of IEPs for eligible students and participation in IEP meetings as needed
• Ensure all students receive Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE)
• Contribute to budget planning and day-to-day operational goals
• Promote parental involvement and effective communication with families and vendors
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and Excel
• Communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders
• Other duties as assigned
