Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist to provide specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. You will evaluate patients, develop recovery plans, and supervise therapy staff in a collaborative, interdisciplinary setting.

The role involves orthotic fabrication, post-surgical rehab, and educating patients on treatment and precautions. A state PT/OT license, CHT, CPR/BLS, and 3+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• DPT or DOT degree preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited OT/ PT program.
• 3+ years of upper-extremity rehabilitation experience.
• Current state PT or OT license.
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions for hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder.
• Document Occupational Therapy services.
• Direct supervision of assistants, students and support staff.
• Design, fabricate, fit and adjust custom orthoses and splints.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care and precautions.
• Treat post-surgical and injury rehabilitation cases.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, physicians and other therapists.
