Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist to deliver specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder in an outpatient setting.

The role includes patient evaluation, developing recovery plans, custom orthosis fabrication, and collaboration with hand surgeons and the broader therapy team. Leadership and mentoring of staff are welcome as part of ongoing clinical education opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred; OT/PT program graduate.
• 3+ years of upper-extremity rehabilitation experience in outpatient therapy.
• Current state PT or OT license and CHT credential; CPR/BLS certified.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient condition; establish plan of care for hand/upper-extremity rehab.
• Provide therapeutic interventions and custom splinting per patient needs.
• Document delivery of OT services and maintain accurate records.
• Directs and supervises OTAs, students and support staff.
• Design, fabricate, and fit custom hand orthoses and splints; educate on use.
• Treat orthopedic/traumatic/postoperative rehab; manage wounds and return-to-work.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons and interdisciplinary team.
