Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to deliver specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. You will evaluate patients, create recovery plans, and provide custom splinting to support healing.

You will supervise OT staff and collaborate with hand surgeons, physicians, and other therapists to coordinate comprehensive care. This role includes orthotic fabrication, documentation, and post-surgical rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• 3+ years of experience in upper-extremity rehabilitation and outpatient therapy.
• Current state PT or OT license.
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and establish plans of care.
• Provide hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder rehabilitation.
• Fabricate, fit and educate on custom orthoses/splints.
• Directs and supervises OT assistants, students and staff.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons and other therapists.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Manage post-surgical and injury rehabilitation and return-to-work programs.
