Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist to provide specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. You will evaluate patients, develop recovery plans, and lead orthotic fabrication while collaborating with hand surgeons and the care team.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with OT or PT licensure and 3+ years of upper-extremity rehab experience; a CHT credential is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of upper-extremity rehab and outpatient therapy experience.
• Bachelor's degree is required; OT or PT licensed in the state.
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patient condition; establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to age and disability.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Directs and supervises OT Assistants, students and support staff.
• Design, fabricate, fit and adjust custom orthoses and splints.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care and precautions.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions.
• Provide scar management, edema control, wound care, and return-to-work rehab as appropriate.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, PTs, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and case discussions.
