Job summary

Army Non-Appropriated Funds (NAF) childcare positions at Fort Stewart, GA require dedicated individuals to provide developmental care for children and youth aged 6 weeks to 18 years in CYS programs, supervising safety during daily routines, field trips, and events. You will assist in implementing developmentally appropriate activities and meal/snack planning.

The role requires responding to emergencies, maintaining immunization and training requirements, and completing pre-employment checks.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Direct supervision of children/youth and ensuring safety.
• Ability to implement developmentally appropriate activities and routines.

Responsibilities

• Provides developmental care and instruction for children and youth aged 6 weeks to 18 years.
• Supervises and accounts for whereabouts and safety during routines, activities, trips, and events.
• Assists in implementing planned activities and schedules using prepared curricula and materials.
• Assists in arranging snacks or meals.
• Identifies and responds to emergencies including evacuations and illness.
