Job summary

U.S. Army MWR, Fort Drum, NY, seeks an Employee Childcare Specialist within Child and Youth Services (CYS). Duties include providing care and instruction for children from 6 weeks to 18 years, actively supervising activities, and implementing age-appropriate curricula.

The role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays as schedules demand. Applicants must be at least 18, hold a high school diploma or GED, and communicate effectively in English.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provides appropriate developmental care and instruction for children and youth, aged 6 weeks to 18 years.
• Supervises and accounts for safety and whereabouts during routines, activities, field trips, and events.
• Assists in implementing developmentally appropriate activities using prepared curricula and materials.
• Helps arrange for or serve snacks or meals.
• Identifies and responds to emergencies and immunization requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
