Defense Logistics Agency in New Cumberland, PA seeks a program trainer for the Child and Youth Services (CYS). The role plans and implements a comprehensive training and professional development program, designs annual CYS plans, and conducts on-the-job and classroom training to promote positive child and youth development in accordance with applicable regulations.
The incumbent will observe staff performance, manage program budgets, prepare analyses of variances, and support funding requests.

Education must have been directly related to the position to be filled (general psychology/sociology courses are not qualifying).Successful completion of a bachelor's degree or higher that included or was supplemented by major study (at least 24 semester hours) in child development (including directly related behavioral science), childhood education, or other fields appropriate to the position to be filled consistent with:
For positions in CDC, FCC or CLEOS - Early Childhood Education, Child Development and/or Elementary Education.
For positions in SAS - Early Childhood/Child Development; Youth Development; Elementary Education, and/or Secondary Education.
OR
Combination of education and experience as follows: Successful completion of at least 24 semester hours in a major course of study in an appropriate CYS field commensurate with the program assigned as indicated above, plus appropriate work experience that provided knowledge skills and abilities directly related to the duties described in the fields appropriate to the position. Appropriate experience and course work must be comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the four-year course of study described above.
