Job summary

Army Non-Appropriated Funds (NAF) Child and Youth Services seeks a team leader responsible for ensuring developmentally appropriate care and instruction for children from 6 weeks to 18 years. You will supervise program staff, ensure safety standards and lead lesson planning and activities tailored to observed needs and interests.

Flexibility to cover evenings and weekends is required. Applicants must be 18+ with a high school diploma and meet background and immunization requirements.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma.
  • Resumes should demonstrate relevant experience, skills and abilities related to CYS.
  • Education or training with child development themes is required per the DoW/DoD guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead program staff to ensure developmental care and instruction for children aged 6 weeks to 18 years.
  • Implement developmentally appropriate programs to promote growth across social, emotional, physical and cognitive domains.
  • Instruct staff, provide written instructions and resources, and plan age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
  • Ensure health and safety standards including diapering, toileting, hygiene, cleaning, safe sleep, and illness care.
  • Work variable hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate program schedules.
