YMCA of Greater Brandywine is seeking a Child Watch Associate to provide a safe and caring environment for children in YMCA care. You will engage with parents and children to support the mission of the YMCA and ensure safety and well-being in a busy childcare setting.

The role involves maintaining clean, organized spaces, keeping accurate records, and applying positive behavior management techniques. A dedication to teamwork and the YMCA values is essential.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be at least 15 years of age or older.
• Experience with children preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain all required new hire certifications within 90 days of hire.

• Oversee safety and whereabouts of the children at all times.
• Maintain a clean, risk-free room arrangement.
• Maintain records, including accident and incident reports and sign in/out sheets.
• Greet parents and children daily using names in interactions.
• Report and/or direct parental concerns to supervisor.
• Use positive, age-appropriate behavior management tools, including redirection and positive reinforcement.
• Ensure compliance with YMCA policies and procedures.
