Job summary

YMCA of Greater Brandywine is seeking a Child Watch Associate to supervise children in a safe, engaging environment and to greet families daily. You will maintain orderly rooms, complete attendance and incident records, and report concerns to supervisors.

The role emphasizes positive behavior support, adherence to YMCA policies, and flexible duties as needed to support a caring community for families and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years of age or older.
• Experience with children preferred.
• Obtain and maintain all additional new hire certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the safety and whereabouts of the children in the group at all times.
• Maintain a clean and risk-free room arrangement.
• Maintain records (accident/incident reports, sign in/out sheets, attendance).
• Greet parents and children daily using names.
• Report and/or direct parental concerns to supervisor.
• Use positive, age-appropriate behavior management tools and the Y voice.
• Ensure compliance with YMCA policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
